Maple Sugaring Demonstration at Journey's End Farm
Experience an active sugarbush operation on a protected property

Join the Delaware Highlands Conservancy and the Pike-Monroe Woodland Owners Group and visit a local working farm with an operational sugarbush, producing 200 gallons of syrup a year with 2 wood-fired evaporators. Learn about the sugaring operation, the farm, and the protection of the land. Light refreshments available. Participants are asked to be prepared for walking through muddy conditions. This event is free and open to the public, but prior registration is required.
Directions: From Honesdale: Take Route 191 south to Hamlin. South of Hamlin bear right onto Route 196 towards Sterling/Mt. Pocono. Follow Route 196 through Sterling. Approximately 1 mile south of Sterling, at the bottom of the hill, cross the bridge and look for a blue and white farmhouse on left. Driveway is on the left just past the blue and white house (don't take the driveway before the house).
