2025 Photo Contest Winners Announced

Through summer 2025 the Delaware Highlands Conservancy held its eighth annual photo contest, Confluence: Land, Water, Wildlife. The contest invites local photographers to capture striking nature photos from the Upper Delaware River region in five categories: landscape, wildlife, macro, water, and the Van Scott Nature Reserve, plus a youth category for photographers under age 18.

The Conservancy is pleased to announce the winners of the contest, chosen by a panel of judges.

  • Landscape category, winner April Richling (Honesdale, PA); runners-up Ann LeFevre (East Stroudsburg, PA) and Meagan Hill (Beach Lake, PA).
  • Wildlife category, winner Kathleen Colligan (Beach Lake, PA); runners-up Terry Rogers (Barryville, NY) and Dennis Romano (Dingmans Ferry, PA).
  • Water category, winner Roger Gottlieb (Port Jervis, NY); runners-up Jason Philibotte (Walnutport, PA) and David Anderson (Cornwall, VT).
  • Macro category, winner Jeffrey Sidle (Beach Lake, PA); runners-up Milicent Wightman (Beach Lake, PA) and Wendy Polonsky (Neversink, NY).
  • Van Scott Nature Reserve category, winner April Richling (Honesdale, PA); runners-up Victoria Sanok (Honesdale, PA) and Sarah Hine (Waymart, PA).
  • Youth category, winner Macey Richard, age 16; runners-up Ruby Richard, Owen Doyle, Lily Eltz, and Aidan Berman.
  • People’s Choice winner is Eileen Chorba (Beach Lake, PA) and the Staff Pick is Arielle Lane (Milford, PA).

The ARTery Gallery in Milford, PA will host the Conservancy from November 6th until December 8th in an exhibition featuring the winning photographs alongside artwork created by ARTery member artists. The show will commence with a reception open to the public on Saturday, November 8th from 2-4pm. The winning photographs are available for viewing on the Delaware Highlands Conservancy Facebook page.
