Create: Straight from the Garden: Let’s Make Herbal Iced Tea and a Handy Salve for Bug Bites with Jeanine Davis

July 20 • 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Peppermint

We’re thrilled to launch our new program series: Design and Grow, Forage, and Create! In this three-part series, you’ll learn how to design and grow a sustainable garden, explore the world of medicinal plants, and discover how to create practical items using what you can grow or forage.

Participants may register for individual sessions or sign up for the full series. As a special bonus, participants who join all three programs will receive a Wildflower Guide by Lawrence Newcomb!

Building on the previous two sessions in the series, we are going to learn some simple recipes for using the herbs you can grow or forage in our area.

We will make and sip a delightfully cooling peppermint tea—one sweetened with honey, the other plain—and make a take-home salve out of simple ingredients to soothe skin from bug bites.

Event fee is $10 for Conservancy members and $15 for non-members. This program is best suited to adults.
