Primary Responsibilities
Bethany directs the Conservancy’s communications activities and supports administrative and financial functions. She writes and designs outreach and press materials, manages social media and the website, and develops promotional materials and collateral for fundraising events and appeals. Bethany also coordinates the annual scholarship and photo contest.

Past Experience
Before joining the Conservancy in 2012, Bethany worked as a freelance writer and editor for five years (including a few projects for the Conservancy).

Education
Bethany has a B.A. in English from East Stroudsburg University and an M.S. in Environmental Studies and Communications from Green Mountain College. She interned with the Land Trust Alliance, researching and writing case studies on how land trusts engage their communities in conservation efforts across the country.

Hiking, raising chickens, kayaking, reading
