Macroinvertebrate Exploration

Join the Delaware Highlands Conservancy for an exploration of macroinvertebrates at Camp Speers YMCA! These small aquatic organisms live in many types of freshwater habitats and provide valuable clues about the health and quality of aquatic ecosystems. Together, we’ll practice collecting and identifying macroinvertebrates and learn what lives in the aquatic ecosystems at Camp Speers YMCA!
Be prepared to get your hands dirty for this program! Water shoes, a towel, and shorter pants such as capris or shorts are recommended. Feel free to bring a water bottle as well. This event is free, but prior registration is required.
