Mini-Macros
July 8, 2023 • 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Join us at the Van Scott Nature Reserve as we explore the life of the insects known as macroinvertebrates! These insects play a huge role in the aquatic ecosystem. For this program we will be discussing the importance of these insects and how their variation can be an indicator of the health of the body of water we are studying. We will be going on a short walk down to a pond and stream to take a closer look at these aquatic macros! Please wear proper footwear and clothing that you are willing to get wet. Closed toed shoes are required for this event as you may be walking in water and mud.
Space is limited and prior registration is required. Event fee is $5 for Conservancy members or $10 for non-members. Children must be accompanied by an adult to attend the program.
