Ramps-U-Pick – Hosted by Delaware Valley Ramps
May 4 • 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Bring your friends and family to Delaware Valley Ramps in Equinunk, PA to celebrate the arrival of spring by harvesting your own bounty of ramps!
Ramps are the first edible green plant of spring. Also known as wild leeks, they are related to garlic and onions and grow wild in the forests of the Upper Delaware River watershed. Highly prized by locals and chefs, they can be used in a variety of dishes to herald the arrival of spring.
At Ramps-U-Pick, you will learn more about the plant, management and sustainability, and harvesting. You can pick up to 3 lbs. of ramps per adult for your own non-commercial use. Tools and support will be provided on site and we will have recipes for you to use at home to cook your ramps and make some of our favorite dishes. Free treats, like ramp hummus, pickled ramps, and ramp quiche, will be served.
This is a ticketed 2-hour event with no more than 10 tickets per 2 hour period. Tickets are $65 per person/children under 12 are free. Family tickets are good for up to two adults and 2 kids under 18 are $130.
